Activity & Audit

Governance you can prove. Every time Formation's backend backstop sets, reverts, or normalizes a value, it writes an entry to the Activity log — a compliance trail of exactly what changed, on which issue, by which rule, and when. It's kept even when rule alerts are switched off.

Formation's Activity log — a filterable, exportable trail of every backend correction, with the issue, the rule, and the outcome

Every backend correction — set, reverted, normalized — with the issue, the rule, the actor context, and the outcome. Filterable and exportable.

Highlights

  • Automatic, not opt-in — the trail is a side effect of enforcement, so there's nothing to remember to turn on. If a rule corrected a value, it's recorded.
  • The detail auditors ask for — each entry captures the issue, the rule that acted, what the value was, what it became, and the timestamp.
  • Export to CSV — hand the trail to a SIEM, a spreadsheet, or an auditor; one row per change.
  • Kept independently of alerts — turning off in-Jira notifications quiets the noise without losing the record.
